Community Dining and Recreation Program
Are you looking to make new friends, share a meal with others, or learn a new skill? Try visiting one of our Community Dining and Recreation sites.
Each center has its own personality, but all of them are full of people who are always eager to welcome a new friend. Many the sites offer programming before and/or after the meal on most days. You can take a sewing class, join a book club, play Mahjong, sing in a chorus, play bridge, enjoy Tai Chi or chair yoga, and so much more. The evening meals often feature a local speaker or entertainer.
How to Enroll
If you are 60 or older, you are eligible to enjoy a hot, delicious and nutritious meal at a community dining site. The first time you come, you will be asked to fill out a registration form which is valid for the year. You can come as often as you like. There is on opportunity at each site for you to make a voluntary contribution, but it’s not mandatory.
Call Lynn at (518) 482-2120 to find out more about what programs are available or for our monthly meal options.
We ask that you make a reservation at least one full day before you plan on joining us for a meal, to ensure that enough food is ordered. Be sure to call the number noted next to the site you wish to visit no later than 2 p.m. the day before your visit. You can drop in without a reservation, but we cannot guarantee that you will receive a meal.
