Senior Services of Albany and CDPHP Medicare Choice are proud to present the 18th Annual Capital Region Senior Expo on Friday, October 23, 2009 at Colonie Center in Albany, New York. This day-long exposition has grown to be the largest, most widely recognized trade show of its kind in the Capital Region. Find everything older adults need to know about housing, health insurance, transportation, home heath services, home repair and modification, city and governmental services, trips and recreation, finances, volunteerism, and much more. The popular “Ask the Doctor“ program returns to the Regal Theater at 9 a.m. This year the question and answer program features Dr. Kirk Panneton, medical director for CDPHP, Dr. William Vacca, cardiologist with Cardiology Associates of Schenectady, and Dr. Stuart Rosenberg, a surgeon with Capital Region Urological Surgeons. To register for the Ask the Doctor program with light fare included, call 1-800-218-3960. Then at 10 a.m., plan to attend the Theatre of Knowledge: Medical Ethics and what you need to know to keep your loved one safe at home. This program is presented by Albany Guardian Society and will feature well-know physician and medical ethics expert, Dr. John Balint and Sheila Otto, RN, BSN, MA. Also new this year, Senior Services of Albany and Senior Hope present Walk for Seniors, Walk for Hope at 12:30 p.m. Join Albany's own Jerry Jennings and other local officials for a healthy jaunt around the mall.
