Senior Services of Albany There was surely a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow at the Westview Senior Center on St. Patrick's Day. The Meals on Wheels staff cooked an extraordinary cornbeef and cabbage dinner with all the trimmings including a delicious chocolate mint cake and ice cream for the March birthday celebration. Over 30 guests were pleasantly entertained by the well known folk musicians Gene and CarolLynn Langley who sang and played American folk and Irish popular songs on the autoharp, mountain dulcimer and penny whistle. After their performance, a lucky
leprochaun appeared at the Senior Center in the form of the Farrell School of Irish Dance. Young people from elementary school to high school chose to perform at Westview after having danced at four other schools that morning. The senior audience came out of the woodwork to witness the amazing movements of these young Irish step dancers. The dancers enjoyed being at Westview so much that they want to join us for lunch next year on St. Patrick's Day.
Senior Services of Albany added 7 new photos to the album: St. Patrick's Day at Westview Senior Center.
